Squid configuration directive url_rewrite_extras

Available in: 4   3.5

History:

Changes to url_rewrite_extras in Squid-3.5:

New directive to send additional lookup parameters to the configured URL-rewriter/redirector helper program. It takes a string which may contain logformat %macros.

The url rewrite and redirector helper input format is now:

         [channel-ID] url [extras]

The default value for extras is: "%>a/%>A %un %>rm myip=%la myport=%lp"

This directive is not available in the 3.4 version of Squid.

For older versions than 3.3 see the linked pages above

Configuration Details:

Option Name:url_rewrite_extras
Replaces:
Requires:
Default Value:url_rewrite_extras "%>a/%>A %un %>rm myip=%la myport=%lp"
Suggested Config:

Specifies a string to be append to request line format for the
rewriter helper. "Quoted" format values may contain spaces and
logformat %macros. In theory, any logformat %macro can be used.
In practice, a %macro expands as a dash (-) if the helper request is
sent before the required macro information is available to Squid.
