MRTG 2.6.6 and Squid

Ok,

Thanks to your help, I now have SNMP working with my Squid 2.1 Patch 2. My
next task is to get MRTG to graph its performance.

According to http://ircache.nlanr.net/Cache/Statistics/mrtg/ , there is a
patch that I need to apply to MRTG. Pardon my ignorance, but how do I
exactly do this ?

I don't know how to apply a patch and which file to patch it into.

Please help.
