squid + mrtg problems (yes, ive checked the archives, read countless webpages, still having probs)

Heya All,

I've been trying to get Squid+MRTG running now for a few hours and getting a
bit frustrated.

2001/11/23 23:57:32| Failed SNMP agent query from : 127.0.0.1.

getting lots of that in the squid logs, and lots of

ive tried quite a lot of combinations in squid, with no success

Yes i have LoadMIBs: /usr/local/etc/squid/mib.txt in there.

I also have tried some of the following in squid with no success

snmp_mib_path /usr/local/etc/squid/mib.txt
snmp_agent_conf view all .1.3.6 included
snmp_agent_conf view squid .1.3.6 included
snmp_agent_conf user squid - all all public
snmp_agent_conf user all all all all  squid
snmp_agent_conf community public squid squid
snmp_agent_conf community readwrite all all
snmp_access allow localhost
snmp_access allow snmppublic localhost
acl snmppublic snmp_community public
--
and other misc combinations of them... once again with no success.
Squid Cache: Version 2.4.STABLE1
mrtg-2.9.11
I can email you my whole squid and mrtg configs on request, but would rather
not attach them going out on an emailing list (for your bandwidth's sake) as
theyre quite large.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, its starting to really annoy me.
