Many of your arguments are valid, at least from a "theoretical" point of
view. When you plug in the real numbers (object sizes, access patterns,
open() delays, select() queues, etc.), then SquidFS certainly makes sense,
IMHO. However, since nobody is going to do SquidFS at this moment, let's
postpone the discussion. :)
