I'm not comfortable adding this patch. This is really Omni's
problem.

The HTTP RFC says we are not allowed to rewrite URLs if
we *forward* them. We could rewrite them for our internal use,
but then we would have to keep another un-rewritten URL around
in memory in case the request needs to be forwarded.
