How to tag branches

Taking the question about te as an example.

From any working directory:

cvs rtag -r te te-20010107 squid
cvs rtag -r Z-te_merge_HEAD Z-te-20010107_merge_HEAD squid

This will create a useable snapshot of the te branch.

When you make snapshot tags it is important that you both tag the branch
and the branchpoint. Else it will be very hard to see in the what is
part of the branch and what is inherited.

Someday I'll create a script for you to do this without fuzz.
