Is there a general or Squid specific FTP Proxy Protocol Spec?

hello.

searching the net i couldn't find a general or squid specific proxy
protocol specification for more advanced feateures that ftp clients
usually support, such as setting file attributes, creating
directories, etc.

i wonder if there is such a general ftp proxy protocol
specification, though from what i have found on the web such does
not seem to exist.

from what i have found on the web it is implied that squid allows
for the abovementioned commands for clients, such as cuteftp, which
is said to have specific support for squid ftp proxying (wrapped in
http of course).

i wonder if there are any documents describing these things in
squid, or must i analyse the squid sourcecode to find this
information?

thank you for any suggestions.

with best regards
