I am all for it.

I Am annoyed by not receiving a notification new bugs. Would also prefer
if there was a (bi-)weekly report sent out listing the currently open
bugs.

We seriously need to get bug processing running much smoother than
today.

However, as of yet Bugzilla seems to be quite limited in what kind of
notification events it supports. The current (HEAD) version seems to
include some enhancements in this area, but it still needs substantial
improvements.
