What version of squid are you working on? There has been a fairly
substantial rewrite of the authentication between 2.4 and 2.5.
Also, if I had some idea of what you are hoping to achieve, I can focus
on the relevant bits more.
Lastly, (nearly) all the data structures and API calls for the 2.5
authenticationt rewrite are covered in the Programmers Guide.
