What means store_dirs_rebuilding?

Hi, pals!

I think store_dirs_rebuilding means we will rebuild the store_dir,
and I think store_dir is the same as cache_dir. I think rebuild means ./configure, make, make install, and modify the cache_dir in squid.conf.

Am I correct?

Can you give a simple explanation about the meaning and function of the
vriable? I search store_dirs_rebuilding in FAQ and squid.conf but failed.
