Squid-3 make dist

Trying to set up new Squid-HEAD snapshots from Squid-3 but make dist
fails for me

mkdir ../../squid-3.0-DEVEL-20021018/src/repl/heap
mkdir ../../squid-3.0-DEVEL-20021018/src/repl/lru
make: don't know how to make distdir. Stop
*** Error code 1

Stop in /tmp/squid3-HEAD-mksnapshot/src/repl.
*** Error code 1

Tried to figure out what the difference from Squid-2 may be, but I do
not seem to find any relevant difference there.. odd thing.

What I do know is that it fails when make distdir tries to recurse
into src/repl/lru..
