problem with content-length calculation

hi, i just came across the problem again that sometimes
errorpages are not displayed correctrly.
i took a look at the http header and this is what i found:
e.g. squid says "Content-Length: 1796" but in fact, it is
1829 bytes long. seems to have to do with the carriage
return/linefeed. in hex mode i see some lines end with <CrCrLf>
(those lines from the ERR files, the ERR_SQUID_SIGNATURE
lines look fine)
i'm not sure if this only occurs with squid for windows
which i use.
