object locality question

Hi everyone,

I'm investigating what I need to do to make the next version
of the cyclic FS handle locality. I'm reading a bunch of
old papers (circa 1998-2000) on the topic to try and get more
of a handle on things; does anyone here have some opinions
on how a filestore could take object locality into account?
I'd like to understand how to identify locality and exploit it.
