I prefer keeping encryption of of the tree for now. Just add a note
referring to libcrypt if support for crypt() hashed passwords is
desired.

Most should be using HMAC-MD5 hashed passwords anyway. Both more secure
and no encryption baggage, plus that we already have everything needed
in-tree.
