Not really.

But I have a simple workflow for tracking Squid-2 HEAD changes and
merging the relevant ones back to 2.6.

There is nothing similar in place tracking Squid-2 <-> Squid-3.

Please do the same in Sqid-2.HEAD, and it will propagate back to 2.6 for
the next 2.6 release.
