Remember that some of us work at companies with small budgets :(.
Does this overhead in getting a working copy is shadowed by the
benefits of shifting
to bzr?

No, sory, I just stopped after bzr branch finished. As soon as I have some
spare time, I'll read bzr documentation a little further and give it a
try at home (with
more RAM).
