I screwed around a bit trying to figure the -W options. Then noticed
they are actually building with 'cc'. Fixing my build environment flags
brought up output at least similar to theirs, but still no 'fatal'
warnings even now.

A quick search located the FC and SuSE packages had similar issues and
I've similarly fixed the other hot-spots the FC people's patch
highlighted in their own weird hack at fixing this.

Lets hope that sorts it out for now. At least its prodded me into
tidying up the mk2 TestBed scripts.
