referer_log is a little different. Can't be fully emulated by a custom log format. the log format can, but not the conditions on when to log.
Same applies to useragent_log.
The emulate_httpd_log directive is no problem to obsolete. Documentation been pretty clear on what is the current way of acheiving this via access_log directive. Additionally the default access_log have been wrongly defined for some time overriding emulate_httpd_log without anyone noticing.
