The patch is OK.
Just one small fix required. Somewhere in the patch there are the
following lines:

       AC_DEFINE(SQUID_STACKOF_PSTRINGDATA_HACK, 1)

   fi

You need to fix the line:
  if "x$squid_cv_pstringdata_hack" = "xyes" ; then
to be
   if test "x$squid_cv_pstringdata_hack" = "xyes" ; then
