Squid 1.1 doesn't like Silicon Graphics' server?

It seems we cannot retrieve pages from www.sgi.com (all of their pages,
it seems) through Squid 1.1.

The server responds fast:

HTTP/1.0 200 OK
Server: Netscape-Communications/1.12
Date: Wednesday, 27-Nov-96 12:20:43 GMT
Last-modified: Wednesday, 27-Nov-96 01:58:39 GMT
Content-length: 1949
Content-type: text/html

and after that, we can wait forever...

cache.log notices:

96/11/27 11:49:49| ERR_READ_ERROR: http://www.sgi.com/ss.home.page.html
96/11/27 13:30:44| ERR_READ_ERROR: http://www.sgi.com/Technology/extreme_t
ech.html

Directly from the browser, or through a Squid 1.0, it seems everything is
fine. Examining the pages, they look quite innocent, so I assume it's a
HTTP problem, not a HTML bug ("dumping" clients like url_get have the
same trouble).
