Solaris 2.5.1/gcc 2.7.2: undefined res_init

I just joined this list and did not see this answered in the FAQ..

I just tried to compile squite 1.1.1 on an Ultra 2, Solaris 2.5.1 and gcc
2.7.2. I got the following error trying to compile dnsserver:

gcc -o dnsserver -g dnsserver.o -L../lib -lmiscutil -lresolv -lsocket -lnsl
Undefined first referenced
 symbol in file
__res_init dnsserver.o

Is this known thingy? This is my LD_LIBRARY_PATH:
/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/ucblib:/usr/openwin/lib
