Yes.. We have had squid v1.1.8 running on a Digital Unix v4.0a system
with GNU malloc..
We had some performance troubles running it because it shared the system with
an Index-server but in essense it did run without big problems..

PS We have migrated it to a dedicated IBM RS/6000 which more then 1-Milj
