I'am afraid that that is not the problem as this parameter is set to
default (= 4Mb), and the error comes on every request.

Strange is , that this error only occurs on the squid on the
firewall, defined as "proxy-only" , which acts only as intermediate
between the squid inside our network, and the squid at our provider.

The squid inside our network does not give any errors.

Suggestions?
