 I think, when You've were upgrading from the older kernel (1.2.13 or
1.3.x), You've not upgraded "all" related programs, esp. dynamic linker.
It must be ld.so.1.7.14 . Also check the
 [/usr/src/linux/]Documentation/Changes on version numbers of all those
programs and update respectively. The Squid "must" compile cleanly
even with kernel 2.0.0, but it's a good idea to upgrade to a more
recent version, e.g. 2.0.29 or 2.0.30
