"Home Grown" ICP Queries... and FLAGS

Howdy,

I'm rolling my own redirector for a special purpose and need to
query squid to see if a document is in the cache...

I'm using the icp-test.pl script in the scripts directory as a
starting point...

This sets all the flags in the query packet... which means that I
get a lot of UDP_HIT_OBJ results on hits of smaller objects.

I really don't want the object, I just want to know if it's there!

Can anyone help with what flags should be cleared to just return
the status??

Is there a better way to get this information from squid (other
than issuing an ICP query?)

        Thanks

        -Jeff
