this is because in the Forwarded header Squid puts in the "public hostname"
rather than its own hostname. With your two caches, I expect you set
them up to report themselves as the public hostname in error messages.

I have a patch for this - I'll extract it and send it here - it's
against 1.1.9, but I don't think anything changed in the areas it
touched.
