Starting 1.1.11 in the background!

Hi all,

I am running Linux 2.0.30 on a P100 with 16 MB RAM.

I have setup Squid 1.1.11 as a cache. It worked fine, then inadvertently,
I deleted my startup script file.

Now, when I have recreated my startup file, I am unable to make squid run
in the background at boot time.

Thanks for any pointer for the same.
