TCP connection to x.x.x.x failed

Hi all,

I am running 2 squid 1.1.16 on linux 2.0.30 (Squid A with 256 Mb and Squid B with 96 Mb). The 2 PC running squid are on the same ethernet (10Mb).

B has 2 parents A and C with the following configuration.

cache_host C parent 8082 7 default no-query weight=90
cache_host A parent 8082 7 default no-query weight=10
cache_host A sibling 8082 3134 proxy-only

I want B to fectch from C most of the time and if C is down to fetch from A. But sometimes, I get an error in cache.log "TCP connection to x.x.x.x/8082 failed". When I get this error, I try manullay to access the cache with port 8082 and it answers back.

Why squid is failing to make a tcp connection with the cache while at the same time the cache reponds normally to a telnet on its port? ( I mean telnet A 8082). Should I increase the weight?
