I did a complete compile of 1.1.14 (or 15?) for a guy a few months ago with
gcc 2.7.2.2 under HP-UX 9.07. He downloaded it from our site - never heard
of any problems - no problem for to reproduce it (maybe a later version)

btw. I don't use squid on HP
