Linux IP masquerading transparently proxies ftp.
There are some patches around for the TIS fwtk (firewall tool kit) to do
transparent proxying. If you want them trying digging around on the
ip_filter pages or Jos Vos' pages for ipfwadm - I think I saw them there.
