Squid is NOT a web server. It is caching web proxy server (see
http://cache.is.co.za/squid/basics/whatis.html and
http://squid.nlanr.net/Squid/FAQ/FAQ-1.html). If you need a web server I
would recommend Apache (http://www.apache.org/).

If you are asking how to run Squid as a accelerator in front of a loaded
HTTP server, then read http://cache.is.co.za/squid/detail/accel.html,
and if unsure ask squid-users again with some additional information on
what you are trying to do.
