SSL Proxy in 1.1.20 doesn't seem to work with Proxy Authentication

I have two squid servers.. one on the firewall.. and one internally.

the users (in this state) connect to the internal proxy.. and it in turn,
connects to the firewall proxy..

Everything runs swimingly .. except the Proxy SSL..

I am using Proxy Authentication..

Whenever I connect to SSL, if my proxy is pointing to the second tear
internal proxy, I get a Proxy Authentication failure.. and no password
works...

If I go direct to the outer proxy.. it works fine..

Any ideas???
