        I am as clueless as you are here. By the way, how did you overcame
the user question on cachemgr.cgi? (an even more clueless question)

        Checking the cache_stoplist_pattern on squid.conf and cache_cf.c,
it seems that writing something like

        refresh_pattern -i \.gif$ 10080 90% 43200

        should accomplish the job.
