It appears not. *sighs* Just a bunch of squid, redirector and
dnsserver processes.

0 requests passed to it.

I had read the comment in the squid.conf for 1.2 saying that it wasn't
needed with async-io (which I thought I had compiled for). I guess
it's always possible that I mis-configured the build process.

I'm about to run through deleting swap.state file with unlinkd_program
uncommented in squid.conf to see if that fixes the problem, and to
berate myself for wasting your time if that does fix this problem.
