        Hi,

Why my cache.log and access.log files told
ERR_CONNECT_FAIL/400, when I tried to connect to
a site which is't down ?
I'm running Squid 1.1.20, OS Linux 2.0.34

Here is an example, from my access.log:

901189513.338 242632 cache TCP_MISS/206 66984 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/6027/pdmsfa2.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com application/zip
901189523.838 9011 cache ERR_CONNECT_FAIL/400 896 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/7012/pdmsfa5.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com -
901189612.399 21 cache ERR_CONNECT_FAIL/400 896 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/6027/pdmsfa1.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com -
901189692.850 221633 cache TCP_MISS/206 66984 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/7012/pdmsfa7.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com application/zip
901189741.906 216599 cache TCP_MISS/206 66984 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/7012/pdmsfa6.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com application/zip
901189805.690 1131479 cache ERR_READ_TIMEOUT/206 58788 GET http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon/7012/pdmsfa8.zip - DIRECT/www.geocities.com application/zip

AFAIK, www.geocities.com was up all the time , but squid told
"Connection Failed (The remote site or server may be down, try later again)"
It seems that this message isn't correct, 'cause I could connect to
www.geocities.com from command line (% telnet www.geocities.com 80).

Any help would be appreciated.

Benarson.
