Hello,

I have problems installing Squid 1.20 on a kernel 1.2.13
Linux box (i486) used as a small dialup-router, for
ip-masquerading and as a web proxy. I already successfully
completed several Squid installations (1.20, 1.22) on intel
hardware running 2.x kernels and used the same configuration. I
checked all permissions, everything seems ok.

When I start Squid, it says the usual stuff:

Starting Squid Cache version ...
With 256 file descriptors available
Performing DNS Tests...
Successful DNS name lookup tests...

but right here it simply hangs, there is no more CPU activity
shown.

Any ideas?
