squid cache drives

Does anyone here remove the root-reserved (5%) space on e2fs drives which
are part of their squid cache spool?

Or would this be a bad thing (defragmentation issues).

5% of a 6Gb drive is around 300Mb, when you have 4 6Gb drives and 300Mb
extra each drive, your cache can suddenly grow by 1.2Gb.

Well in a perfect world maybe :P Con is defragmentation can become a
problem since your pushing drives to absolute limit almost (Michael
mentioned not to run at 99.99% utilised :P)
