Richard,

Couple of suggestions;

* use case insensative (-i) to cut down the number of rules and increase
coverage
* likewise, regex can help you cull others, for instance \.jpe?g$ or
\.p(n|b|g|p)m$
* try using 14400 80% 43200 as your default pattern and declare
exceptions to it (unless you're really tied to a lower default)
* 80% is very conservative for some of these
* I find it helpful to make \/$ more conservative than the .\html?$
pattern.

How much are some of the more esoteric patterns being used?
