Squid 2.0 ACL Use with Parents

Hi Everyone,

How do I make Squid 2.0 Parent certain data, while going DIRECT for other
local data now what firewall_ip has been removed ?

I am part of an Australian Peering group called AusBone
(http://www.ausbone.net) and I'm working on upgrading my ACL rules to
work with Squid 2.0.

What most members do is grab a list of the IP addresses blocks in the
peering router, process and put that info into a file

202.0.85.0/255.255.255.0
202.12.110.0/255.255.255.0
[etc]

and in Squid 1.1 add something like this

acl ausbone dst "/cache/data/ausbone.dst"

cache_host_acl proxy1.parent.com !ausbone

or use
firewall_ip 202.0.85.0/255.255.255.0

This unsured local data was downloaded directly and not from a parent.

Squid 2.0 doesn't seem to want to obey this type of config. You setup
parents, it goes DIRECT for everything.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks,
