negative caching?

Hi
I have just started running Version 2.1.RELEASE
and cachemgr gives a -ve figure for byte hit ratio
>Cache information for squid:
>Request Hit Ratios: 5min: 3.4%, 60min: 3.7%
>Byte Hit Ratios: 5min: -4.0%, 60min: 2.7%
Does this mean the cache is collecting more than it is delivering?
I have quick abort turned off.

The box said install Windows 95,98 NT or better... So I installed Linux
