Can you give me an example of a blocking DNS lookup?

So as long as it appears to work normally, then I can assume
that the lack of dnsserver is not a problem.

Well, 1.1.15 works quite well for me. And it would take
me until the year 2000 to understand how it works anyway.
By then, I hope someone will have a replacement.
