Hello,

I'm trying to install squid on a Solaris 7 machine. I configured it
with --enable-async-io, ran squid -z. However at starting up squid,
in cache.log we have

1999/02/10 13:04:44| Starting Squid Cache version 2.2.PRE2 for sparc-sun-solaris2.7...
1999/02/10 13:04:44| Process ID 7633
1999/02/10 13:04:44| With 4096 file descriptors available
1999/02/10 13:04:44| Performing DNS Tests...
1999/02/10 13:04:44| Successful DNS name lookup tests...
1999/02/10 13:04:44| helperOpenServers: Starting 5 'dnsserver' processes

and that's all. squid.pid file is not generated either.

What can be wrong?

Best regards,
Jozsef
