High number of context switches.

Hello list-members,

Just a small question. 'vmstat' shows a really high number of context
switches per second when squid is build with pthreads and async-io.

Even when squid is idle I get >230 CS/sec. When I stop squid, this
number falls into normal ranges (50 - 100). Does anybody else see this
behaviour?

Linux i586 with kernel 2.2.2
glibc 2.1
squid 2.2.DEVEL3

cheers,
Patrick

PS: To Henrik: Your 'prefer_direct' patch works, but I had no time to
test it on a high-traffic machine.
