This is a known problem with Squid < 2.2. There is a Squid 2.1 patch
available from my Squid page which corrects this.

Yes it is included, but it is hidden. To enable accelerator
authentication you have to add
DEFINES = -DAUTH_ON_ACCELERATION
to the top of src/Makefile after running configure.
