Should squid be choking on this?

I was trying to browse some software at www.pilotgear.com and got this:

While trying to retrieve the URL:
http://www.pilotgear.com/software/showsoftware.html?url_sku=199810270824192736&url_btitle=&url_bdescription=contact
manager&cart=3003638126441218

The following error was encountered:

     Invalid URL

Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:

Missing or incorrect access protocol (should be `http://'' or similar)
     Missing hostname
     Illegal double-escape in the URL-Path
Illegal character in hostname; underscores are not allowed

Now If I don't go thru squid, I am ok, and retrieve the url. I don't
think my squid is out of date, does anyone know how I can fix this?
