It appears to be a router or some kind of network problem here on campus.
I investigated further and on 3 different oses here in the library and I
cannot access the site (ping, traceroute, etc), but I can access another
site next to it education.vetmed.vt.edu which is on the same subnet as
www.vetmed.vt.edu. I can access either site from other parts of campus.

Sorry if I prematurly mailed this list again for something external to
squid.
