page faults & resident size

I realize that this subject has been covered somewhat in the FAQ, but I
couldn't find a reasonable explanation to what's happening... I'd
appreciate any input anyone has.

In the cachemgr, I see the following lines:

Maximum Resident Size: 0 KB
Page faults with physical i/o: 2178
Total space in arena: 178264 KB

The FAQ mentions that if the RSS value is lower than the process size then
there must be paging problems. As above, the cachemgr reports a 0 RSS!?
Although top does show that both SIZE and RSS are 176M, which seems about
right. We're also getting few page faults too, although vmstat doesn't
report that any paging or swapping is going on.

System stats are: Debian Linux w/ 2.0.35, 384MB RAM, Squid 2.0.P2 ...

Any input is appreciated!
