Memory Problem

I have a problem with Squid 2.1/Patch 2 on Linux (Redhat 5.9 -> Kernel 2.2.3)
When left running for a while it starts to eat up memory. to give you an
example this morning when I check it had taken up 111MB, which imho is a bit
much.
Does anyone have any idea what this means? and How do I fix it?
