Elapsed time in squid-2

Has the definition of elapsed_time in acceess.log
changed since Squid-2?

In the case of client-side persistent connections there are more than
one line in access.log for each TCP connections, so it's not the time
beween accept() and close()...

I've went through client_side.c for a while, and the start time of the
elapse_time seems to be recoreded when http headers are parsed, and the
end time at the momement when each http request within the connection
is completed by httpRequestFree(). Is this correct?
