inode size question

When formating the drives which will be used as the cache drives for squid,
what is the preferred inode size ?
By default Linux's mke2fs command defaults to 4096 bytes per inode.
Since squid caches a lot of small files (html files, jpg's etc.) is it right to
assume that 1024 bytes per inode is a much better choice ?

Thanks for your help...
